“Last year I was the person who was procrastinating over my novel and its messy ending. Thanks to the weekly accountability this group provides I’ve finished it and posted it to a publisher.” Sally Christie
“Super-useful! I moved the narrative further and fleshed out some detail. I need a bit of help finding motivation to write outside work given that I sit at a screen all day long.” Atakohu Middleton
“Writing is generally lonely but it was encouraging to see others plugging away on their novels, kids’ books or scripts. Time flew and before I knew it, I’d cranked out 873 words.” Yvonne Milroy
“Writing Room is always A+++. Irrespective of how brain dead I might be by 7pm, you all inspire me to haul something creative out of my brain. I am always amazed by what I have to show for that two hours every Tuesday.” Robyn Welsh
“Was great to have dedicated time to focus on writing and be around other writers.” Andrea Kenrick

Finishing your work and getting it out into the world is the best feeling! But keeping your project moving forward and staying motivated without a real deadline can be challenging.
So let’s make that happen…
I know we’re all busy and that there’s a million and one other obligations to attend to...
And that is exactly why I created The Writing Room.
A time and place to get together for a regular group write-in.
The Writing Room is a subscription-based online writing community for writers who are sick of going it alone, who want to stay focused and motivated - and nail their writing goals.
Think of it like a regular writing appointment.
How Does The Writing Room Work?
* We turn up 7pm (NZT) every Tuesday night via Zoom and we write. It’s that simple. And that effective.
* We do a fun, creative warm-up to get into a creative headspace aka the zone.
* We share our writing goal for the evening and then we settle in to write for a couple of hours…
* No sharing or critiquing – just focused writing time.
* Do you need to attend every week? No, it’s up to you when you turn up.
*The cost is low risk. The monthly sub is $(NZ)39
When you join the Writing Room you get access to our weekly online writing session, our private Facebook group and our monthly coffee & catch up.

An idea of what you can achieve in a month…
Week 1 – You’ve gained clarity on where you want your project to be by December this year - and nailed your first 500 words.
Week 2 – Your next 500-700 words are done.
Week 3 – Another 500-1000 words smashed.
Week 4 – You pat yourself on the back for finishing another 1000 words.
And just like that, by turning up for 2 hours a week you’ve grown your project by around 3000 words – not bad for one weekly writing session.
“Accountability works. This group continues to provide me with opportunities to progress my novel.” Fiona Hall
“Seriously helpful in enabling you to get sh*t done which is a major hurdle for plenty of writers.” Jack Cottrell
